சிறப்புஈனும் செல்வமும் ஈனும் அறத்தினூஉங்கு
 ஆக்கம் எவனோ உயிர்க்கு.

What positive ways are there to achieve grandeur and earn wealth rather than virtuous path?

அறத்தினூஉங்கு ஆக்கமும் இல்லை அதனை
மறத்தலின் ஊங்கில்லை கேடு.

There is no such way as Virtue  which ensures positive life. There is no such evil of forgetting that virtue.

ஒல்லும் வகையான் அறவினை ஓவாதே
செல்லும்வாய் எல்லாஞ் செயல்.

Whatever the good deeds you do wherever you go it should be carried out by virtuous  means without slackness.

மனத்துக்கண் மாசிலன் ஆதல் அனைத்தறன்
ஆகுல நீர பிற.

Immaculate mind is virtue.others are empty vessels.

அழுக்காறு அவாவெகுளி இன்னாச்சொல் நான்கும்
இழுக்கா இயன்றது அறம்.

Jealousy,Avarice,Bubbling anger and taunting words are the four that tarnish the image of virtue.

அன்றறிவாம் என்னாது அறஞ்செய்க மற்றது  பொன்றுங்கால் பொன்றாத் துணை.

Without postponing the good deeds if one  adopts virtuous path,that will be the imperishable fame even after death.

அறத்தாறு இதுவென வேண்டா சிவிகை
பொறுத்தானோடு ஊர்ந்தான் இடை.

The rider of palanquin denotes the mind of virtue without oscillation whereas the bearer denotes the mind of vice considering life as burden.

வீழ்நாள் படாஅமை நன்றாற்றின் அஃதொருவன்
வாழ்நாள் வழியடைக்கும் கல்.

If one does the good deeds continuously without wasting even a single day, that deeds will act as stepping stone and not as stumbling block of life.

அறத்தான் வருவதே இன்பம் மற்றெல்லாம்
புறத்த புகழும் இல.

The renown that earned with pure mind following the virtuous life
Is happiness. Contrary to this , others are neither renown nor happiness.

செயற்பால தோரும் அறனே ஒருவற்கு
 உயற்பால தோரும் பழி.

Avoiding avengeful actions and liking the virtuous deeds only will add feathers to one's glory.
