2.கற்றதனால் ஆய பயனென்கொல் வாலறிவன்
 நற்றான் தொழாஅர் எனின்.

What is the use of education
 if we lack character of humility before elders?

3.மலர்மிசை ஏகினான் மாணடி சேர்ந்தார்
 நிலமிசை நீடுவாழ் வார்.

Those  who follow  the philosopher who adorns  flower like mind.
Their glorious life will last long.

4.வேண்டுதல் வேண்டாமை இலானடி சேர்ந்தார்க்கு
 யாண்டும் இடும்பை இல.

Those who live without selfishness and likes and dislikes they will never have miseries.

5.இருள்சேர் இருவினையும் சேரா இறைவன்
 பொருள்சேர் புகழ்புரிந்தார் மாட்டு.

Those who want to realise the  of God ,they will treat the good and evil at same wave length


6.பொறிவாயில் ஐந்தவித்தான் பொய்தீர் ஒழுக்க
 நெறிநின்றார் நீடுவாழ் வார்.

Those who control the five sensory organs and follow the disciplined  path,they will have long life.

7.தனக்குவமை இல்லாதான் தாள்சேர்ந்தார்க் கல்லால்
 மனக்கவலை மாற்றல் அரிது.

Except those who follow the exemplary nonpareil personalities
The worries of minds of others cannot be changed.


8.அறவாழி அந்தணன் தாள்சேர்ந்தார்க் கல்லால்
 பிறவாழி நீந்தல் அரிது.

Except those who follow the righteous great men,
others cannot swim  the ocean of miseries very easily.


9.கோளில் பொறியிற் குணமிலவே எண்குணத்தான்
 தாளை வணங்காத் தலை.

If our five sensory organs do not function what will happen?
The same will happen to those who do not respect and bow
towards righteous great men.

10.பிறவிப் பெருங்கடல் நீந்துவர் நீந்தார்
 இறைவன் அடிசேரா தார்.

Those who try to conquer the ocean of birth,they should follow the prime leader.
 Otherwise they will stagger to swim across.
